The famous Dunedin international airport which is popularly known as the Moment Airport is an international airport cargo in the whole of Otago region of the south eastern island of New Zealand which serves the Dunedin city and the whole of the Otago region. The airport has a single paved runway for aircraft up to the amazing Boeing 767 with ILS in both directions. The airport has one terminal building with up to five gates, two of the gates with air bridges and also custom facilities and other amenities.

The old airfield at the unique taireri was not economic to expand in order to cater for the growth in air travel expected in the future. There are also banking and duty free shops which are usually only open to coincidence with the international flights. Dunedin airport transfers are also offered by various taxi services in the city.

In early 2009,the Dunedin international airport limited announced that it had the required land and it consented to building an extended runway form 1900 m to almost 2500 m at accost of NZ$ 20 Million. The Extension Was Approximated To Accommodate Larger Aircraft. The extension of the runway was done because the international airport thought that it was very necessary.
